The mother of Alexis Sharkey, who was tragically found dead this week, has spoken out about her suspicions surrounding her daughter's death...

The body of twenty-six-year-old Instagram influencer, Alexis Robinault, was found on Saturday morning in northwest Houston.

Her mom Stacy shared the tragic news on Facebook, and thousands have since shared their condolences. Some, however, have given their unwarranted opinion on how they think she died...

Some even went as far as to blame her husband for her murder...

Leaving vile comments on his recent posts about Alexis...

According to the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences, her body had no visible injuries.

Before her death, Robinault, who used the name "Alexis Sharkey" on Instagram, was an influencer who shared photos of her travels around the world with her followers.

Her mother, Stacey, said she "traveled as much as she could," as it was her dream to see the world.

"For her integrity, it was just so obvious that what she had out there was who she was and what she believed in," Stacey Robinault said.

But, over the weekend, everything changed.

Alexis went missing after walking out after an argument on Thanksgiving Day. She didn't return.

And on Sunday, her body was found.

Her mom announced the devastating news on Facebook. "It's with deeply broken hearts that Mike and I want to let you all know that Lexi's body has been found," she wrote.

"We cannot begin to thank you all for your love and the kind words you’ve extended to our family! Please give us this time to grieve this incredible loss to our family and this world!!! We will miss you, Love!!!!"

Robinault said that friends of Alexis had last seen her at 6 PM on Thursday, before her disappearance.

Her body was later found along the stretch of Katy Freeway at 8 AM Saturday morning.

After a driver spotted her feet beneath some bushes along the way.

However, her mom believes that Alexis' death was no accident...

And has said that she is sure there is "no way" it was self-inflicted.

"The way in which she was found, my child would never do that to herself," Robinault said.

"That doesn't even make sense. That is absolutely foul play."

"There is nothing to me that suggests that this was an accident," she added.

"And there's nothing to me that suggests anything else, other than that this was done to her. And I believe that in my mother's gut." The police are yet to confirm a cause of death. Rest in peace, Alexis.
